 |  We are a professional education association concerned with apprenticeship training (commonly referred to as Field Training Officer Concept) for Law Enforcement, Corrections, Military, Personal Security, and Community members of good character. We offer training in all aspect of police officer skill sets. Other Criminal Justice practitioners are also encouraged to belong.

Our physical training program is expanding and adapting. I have completed my masters in health science from Long Island University in Brooklyn, NY. I will be concentrating on treatment programs in exercise for an aging population incorporating aerobic and resistance training in a time management setting. Core strength and endurance increases will be the primary goals. Colateral benefits will be aiming at weight loss and healthy improvements in quality of life issues. We anticipate treatment will fit Austism, ADHD, ADD, and behavior issues. Additionally master Salim is a CT certified behavior counselor and has already been incorporating techniques from new studies into his curriculum. I will keep everyone informed of our progress. IT APPEARS OUR FIRST PROGRAM WILL BE A TEN WEEK (3 x s week) TRIAL AT STERLING HOUSE
I am excited to report that Dr. Richard M. Chin of Jow Ga fame has agreed to contribute historical information, training tips, and amusing anecdotes to this website. I will be adding video of Dr. Chin showing form and styles as well as Qi Gung exercise.

13 April 2009 Congrats to Jamie Blackwell for achieveing the rank of Blue Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Jamie is a former Bunnell HS wrestler who just loves to mix it up on the mat. Helping him along the way were fellow Blue Belts Manny Young, Brendan Rooney, Andrew Jacobs, and Leo Iglesias.
Our club sponsors trips to Brazil to train and share culture with our sister academy in Col. Frabriciano, Minas Gerais. Academia Garcia is an affiliate school of David E. Burs and is run by BJJ 3rd degree black belt, professor Jose Nacino Garcia. Generally our trips are March and August to coincide with the large regional tournaments. |

New Feature ! "A Martial History" A trip back through martial arts from Asia to Hawaii, California, and New York. Forty plus years of history with Dr. Richard M. Chin. Each entry will cover interviews with Dr. Chin and will cover various topics such as kumite with Bruce Lee, serious artists some may not have heard of (Mak Jhoon), styles, techniques, and training methods. I will add photo.s and embedded video also. |

Are you fit enough? We offer classes in Yang Style Tai Chi and defense applications. Excercise classes for those who just wish to have a sane, calm environment, and Tang Soo Do Korean Karate which is taught by master Salim Hassan 5th black & former National full contact champion. |
